St.
Paul`s Bay
St. Paul`s Bay owes its name to the
shipwreck of St. Paul the Apostle. This town has transformed
itself from a quiet fishing village into a beautiful residential
area. However notwithstanding this metamorphosis, an aura
of tranquility still pervades. The more common property types
in this area are Apartments and Penthouses.

Bugibba
Until not long ago Bugibba was just
a rocky and barren headland, which today has developed into
one of the most popular seaside tourist resort, emphasizing
mostly on pubs, discos, restaurants and a lovely promenade
offering bathing and water sports. Property in the area has
increased since the 1970`s and the large majority of properties
available are Flats and Penthouses.

Swieqi
One of the more fashionable and up
market addresses is St. Andrews which is made of three main
suburbs being Swieqi, Ibrag and Madliena. Here one can find
a selection of Flats, Maisonettes, Terraced Houses, Semi/Fully
Detached Villas and Bungalows. The top residential spots in
the area are Victoria Gardens and Madliena.

Sliema
Dating back to the 1850`s, Sliema started
off as a summer resort for the wealthy and has developed into
a modern commercial centre with luxury apartment blocks towering
the shoreline, making it one of the most fashionable addresses
on the Island. Property type in this area vary from period
Town Houses to Apartments and Penthouses.

Msida
The predominant feature in Msida is
the Yacht Marina that stretches from Gzira into Ta` Xbiex
and onto Msida. Property types in Msida are mostly Maisonettes,
Flats and Terraced Houses. Ta` Xbiex is bordering with in
Msida and enjoys the Yacht Marina in common. Previously this
was a pinnacle of residential areas with Embassies and lavish
Villas. To-day most of these properties have been bought by
large companies and turned into corporate offices. Property
types in this area are mostly Semi - Detached and Detached
Villas.

Valletta
The Capital City of Malta, Valletta was built in 1566 `by
gentlemen for gentlemen`. This fortress city was built by
the Knight`s of St. John to tower over the Grand Harbour and
here one can discover a wealth of historical buildings. Many
businesses operate from Valletta, but unfortunately the city
tends to die down after the shops close. However, there is
great effort to restore activity to the capital at night and
recently St. James Cavallier, a former fortress, waas inaugurated
as a centre for creativity, thus converting a machine of war
to a centre for the arts.

Rabat
During
the time of the Romans, Rabat and Mdina where one town but
in the time of the Arabs a ditch was dug around Mdina in order
to fortify this town even further. The medieval town of Mdina
commonly known as the "silent city" is a true gem
enjoying an immense wealth of historical buildings with beautiful
Palazzo's (residence of Maltese nobility) lining the narrow
winding streets. Formerly the capital city of Malta (or Melita
as it was known in those days) till the time of the knights,
Mdina is now an elite residential area and it is possible
to find the odd house for sale.

Mosta
Roughly at the geographical centre
of the Island, one would find Mosta, which enjoys a blend
of old historical Houses of Character, post war Town Houses,
modern Terraced Houses, Flats and Maisonettes. On the outskirts
of Mosta lies the small village of Bidnija which is set with
tranquil rural surroundings, here one can find some beautiful
detached residences. However one may also find the odd two
bedroom Apartment enjoying fantastic country views.

Lija
The
villages of Attard, Lija and Balzan have over the years more
or less merged into one. In the time of the Knights of St.
John a large number
of affluent people took residence in the area and has grown
into a very prosperous residential area, with enchanting elegant
residencies with beautiful gardens often hidden behind high
walls. In Attard one would also find the official residence
of the President of the Republic of Malta, being the Palace
of San Anton. The most predominant feature attributed to these
villages is the air of tranquility that reigns supreme. However,
today a number of new residential suburbs within the confines
of the villages have sprouted out.

Birkirkara
This is one of the largest towns on
the Island and has grown from an old town into a modern commercial
centre. The old town centre, with its narrow streets and old
houses still presents itself as a traditional Maltese village.
A number of different suburbs have mushroomed over the years
and these are mainly: Swatar, Tal- Qattus, Old Church area,
New Church area, Fleur de Lys and Mriehel. In Birkirkara one
would find a selection of property types mainly: Flats, Maisonettes,
Terraced Houses, Houses of Character, Town Houses and Villas
(Mriehel area).

Zebbug
In Maltese Zebbug means "Olives,"
since in days gone by the olive groves around this area were
prolific. This town has an aura of tranquility and the humble
village life is very evident. Property types in the area are
